Howdy3D is a one-person 3D print shop based in Texas. Every order is designed, printed, and quality-checked by hand — no factory, no middleman.
How it started
It started with a broken part I couldn't find anywhere. I figured I'd just print it myself — and somewhere between that first spool of filament and the hundredth failed prototype, I got completely hooked.
What began as a fix-it hobby turned into custom gifts for friends, then desk accessories for coworkers, then miniatures for the tabletop crew. Eventually people started asking if they could buy them.
So here we are. Howdy3D is still just me, still just one printer (okay, two now), and still the same obsession with getting the details right.
Small batch on purpose
No mass production. Every item is made to order, which means better quality control and zero warehouse waste.
Honest about limitations
3D printing has quirks. Layer lines are visible. Colors vary slightly between spools. I'll always tell you what to expect before you buy.
Custom is the point
The catalog is a starting point. If you have a specific idea, a weird dimension, or a design that doesn't exist yet — that's exactly what the custom request form is for.
How every print gets made
Design
Every product starts in CAD. Custom orders get a design pass before anything touches the printer — dimensions, tolerances, and finish are dialed in first.
Printed on FDM machines with PLA, PETG, and specialty filaments. Layer height, infill, and supports are tuned per job — not just default settings.
Finish
Support removal, light sanding where needed, and a quality check before anything ships. If it doesn't look right, it gets reprinted.
Pack & ship
Orders are packed carefully and shipped within 2–3 business days. Custom prints take a bit longer — usually 5–7 days after design approval.
